Iceland 2023, September 21st to 25th

Important information concerning the conference:
Arrival:
We will begin the conference on Thursday September 21st 2023 in Reykjavik with organ music and a short lecture in the Hallgrimskirkja. Subsequently the bishop will invite us for dinner at the bishop´s residence.
The arrival in Reykjavik must take place Thursday in the afternoon! The nearest airport is Keflavik. From there an airport bus goes regularly to Reykjavik and the tour takes approx. 45 minutes. If possible please make a note on the flight number and arrival time when you send your application for the conference!
At 7.30 P.M. our bus goes from Reykjavik. After this time we can´t offer any transportation to Skálholt. The distance is 80 km and the tour last approx. 1½ hours.
Departure:
On Monday September 25th 2023 we will all arrive with the bus in Reykjavik at 6 P.M. The conference ends in Reykjavik at this time and we can´t organize individual transportation that will bring you to Reykjavik at an earlier time of the day!
If you need a hotel stay from Monday until Tuesday it´s possible to make an additional reservation at the Hotel Sunna Guesthouse / Sunnugisting ehf, Þórsgata 26, 101 Reykjavik, www.sunna.is The price is 110 EUR for a single room and 132 EUR for a double room. At the hotel its possible to order breakfast. From the hotel there is a convenient connection with bus to the airport. The expenses for the hotel will be put separately on the bill.
